The Great North American Carrot Company
Our baby carrots are specifically bred to be a smaller and sweeter carrot than their larger cousins. Baby carrots make great snacks raw or are perfect in soups and stews. They are washed and ready to eat!
Originally, baby carrots were actually imperfect whole carrots. Tired of throwing away perfectly good carrots due to aesthetic imperfections, a California farmer came up with the idea for a miniature, peeled carrot.
Today, our baby cut and peeled carrots are specifically bred to contain more sugar than their larger cousins. This sweet taste makes them appealing for a raw snack or a nice bowl of chicken soup. Baby carrots have not only been bred different but they are also planted in a unique way to ensure consistent sizing.

Storage Tips
It is important to store carrots in a cold, humid environment. Store them away from potatoes, apples, pears, and any other ethylene producing produce. Ethylene will make the carrots taste bitter.

Chlorine Content
Rumors circulating around the internet claim that carrots develop "a white film" from "...chlorine coming to the surface."
