Vidalia Sweet Carrots is a Michael Cutler Comapny brand offering the only sweet carrots with the legendary Vidalia name. The carrots are grown, processed, and packed in Statesboro, GA. We have recently upgraded our carrot processing facility in Statesboro, GA for the upcoming Vidalia Sweet Carrot season. New equipment, increased plantings, and more warehouse space will allow us to accept new customers beginning January 2010. Vidalia Sweet Carrots are grown in the same soil as the legendary Vidalia onion. This soil coupled with Georgia’s unique climate helps these carrots develop more sugar during the growing season providing you with an unforgettable taste.
Today, carrots are one of the newest and most popular commodities in the Georgia vegetable industry. Georgia carrots are sweeter because climatic conditions help Georgia carrots develop more sugar during the growing process.Perhaps the greatest nutritional benefit Georgia carrots have to offer are their high level of betacarotene. Betacarotene is a plant pigment that gives carrots their vibrant orange color. An element, betacarotene may help reduce some forms of cancer. One single carrot can supply enough betacarotene to meet our total daily requirement of Vitamin A.
The season to harvest for fresh Georgia carrots is December through June. Georgia carrots are grown commercially in the Southern portion of the state.
